Anna University, Chennai is organizing Tamil Nadu State Level Placement Programme (TNSLPP) 2011-12, for the Present Final Year (2012 Passing Out) Students studying in Self Financing Engineering Colleges of Tamil Nadu.

M/s Cognizant Technology Solutions, has kindly agreed to participate in this Placement Programme during 8^th & 9^th March 2012. Centre for University Industry Collaboration, Anna University Chennai is conducting this programme at P.S.N.A. College of Engineering & Technology, Kothandaraman Nagar, Dindigul - 624 622 for the 2012 Passing Out Students.

The final year students of B.E. / B.Tech. (CSE, ECE, EEE, EIE, ICE & IT) with an CGPA of

7.9 and above (No Standing Arrears) from I Semester to VII Semester are eligible to participate. It is mandatory that all the students should secure an average of 70% and above marks consistently from 10^th Std. and 12^th Std. It is requested that the Principal / Placement Officers of the College should verify the marks of the students and certify their eligibility to attend the campus placement.

Students who have already paid the Registration Fee for the academic year 2011-2012 should bring their CUIC Placement Passport Book without fail.

Candidates who wants to register for the first time have to pay one time Registration fee of Rs. 750/- (Rupees Seven hundred and fifty only) each in the form of a Demand draft drawn in favour of “The Director, CUIC, Anna University” payable at Chennai.

The Principal / Placement Officer may collect the Registration Fee from the students and make One Consolidated Demand Draft and submit the Demand Draft along with the Name List, Registration No., Branch and Annexure-I through courier with the soft copy of the students list as per the enclosed format to the CUIC, Anna University, Chennai on or before 02.03.2012. Terms and Conditions

1.      As per the mandate of the Anna University Chennai, students who have already placed in any organisation through Campus Recruitment are not eligible to attend the Campus Interview.

2.      As per the notification of visiting Organisations, the candidates who have already appeared for On-Campus Recruitment of that particular Organisation are not eligible to re-appear again in the State Level Placement programme.

3.      All eligible students take part in the Campus Interview process for the first time have to register by paying a one time Registration Fee of Rs.750/- in the form of Demand Draft in favour of “The Director, CUIC, Anna University, Chennai” payable at Chennai.

4.      Candidates should furnish the photograph duly attested by the Principal of their college. (Annexure I)

5.      Candidates should bring the attested Xerox copies of SSLC, HSLC, Diploma and Degree semester mark sheets for verification along with 4 passport size photographs.

6.      For attending the Campus Interview, the candidates should make their own arrangements.

7.      Registration, Validation and Test will be conducted on Day one. The shortlisted candidate will have the interview on Day one / two.

8.      Those candidates selected through State Level Placement by the company should not attend the subsequent Test / Interviews to be conducted by other companies.

9.      Students who have appeared for the On-campus or Off-campus interview of the concerned company within the time period of six months are not eligible to participate in the concerned organization drive.

10.  Any irregularity / Mal practices / in any form of recommendation will be treated, as disqualification and Anna University Chennai will take serious action against those candidates.

11.  The decision of the Director, CUIC will be final in all matters.

Job Description for IT Infrastructure Services (IT IS):

Remote monitoring and managing client IT infrastructure like servers, operating systems, databases, network, IT help desk etc.

Supporting Cognizant clients on troubleshooting issues related to software, hardware & networking

Understanding problems and providing remote technical resolutions

Escalating issues to specialized support groups for highly technical issues

Coordinating with customers and support groups for tracking status, providing updates and confirmation
